Remembering Bud Kerr: On Saturday, May 9, 2009, the Friends of Nat Bailey Stadium lost a great friend with the passing of Bud Kerr. Bud was not only a dear friend and charter member of FoNBS, he was a consummate ambassador of baseball, the archivist and guardian of Vancouver's baseball heritage and a driving force in the effort to preserve and honour Nat Bailey Stadium. The Friends of Nat Bailey Stadium -- and the stadium itself -- owe their existence, at least in part, to Bud. The loss is felt not only by us in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland but by the entire baseball community. He will be keenly missed by us all. We wish to extend our sympathy to Bud's family and friends, and we hope to sustain the spirit of Bud Kerr into the future and honour his legacy through our activities in support of Nat Bailey Stadium and our relationship with the Vancouver Canadians Professional Baseball Club.

  100 Years of Baseball:

Celebrate 100 years of Baseball in Vancouver! See you in the Spring!!The History of Baseball in Vancouver is a documentary series, of how a misplaced sport united a rainy Pacific North West community through a century of heartaches and home runs. To commemorate this historic milestone, Infinite Potential Productions will be filming throughout the summer of 2007 – compiling the history of professional baseball in Vancouver. Through personal stories – from former and current team members and staff, Major League Baseball alumni, community leaders, and of course, the fans - this project will re-create, and recount the story of how baseball survived through the decades, and succeeded in becoming a thread that linked generations of diverse families.
